Sweetening Conventional Heavy Oil
A heavy oil operator in Wildmere, Alberta, faced persistent odor and HSE issues from fluids treated with high-dose triazine scavengers. BROADTREAT™ H2S & Mercaptan Sweetener chemistry was introduced at the same dosage and then optimized.
The program cut chemical use by 50%, reduced costs, and eliminated site odors, while providing a safer, non-triazine, non-TDG alternative.
